The only place I could find that supplied compost was the local builders yard and nowhere seemed to have large pots so I ended up getting a builders gorilla bucket in a horrible yellow, that being the only choice there was or go to Newtownards. I’m sure there has to be some other more local place that supplies such things although I have no idea where and neither did anyone I asked. I made do with one large flowerpot, a gorilla bucket and a storage container I had left over from moving house.

The roots were more badly damaged than I had realised yesterday. I’ll be very much surprised if they survive this time around, if at all but here’s hoping my fingers are greener than they look. Arum Lily is such a lovely plant.

Oh. I wish I still had my Haddonstone employee benefit now. We used to get two pieces (B-stock mind you) gratis per year. My mother has two in front of her house that she doesn’t even use.
Here’s an idea of what they have, wish I could get you something, or let you have the first piece I create myself:

Lately I have found one I liked was a hollowed out volcanic cinder (about “construction gorilla” bucket size). Saw it at a house I’ve been painting. Not sure where the client got it.

oooOOOO nice! Any one of those would look better than a gorilla bucket! The prices are a bit ridiculous though.

I have a feeling even the gorilla bucket isn’t going to be required. Plants are looking somewhat disheveled and traumatised today.
