Thanks but don't get excited.... it may take me another two months to build up the momentum to post again.

Didn't know BT were yellowellies. I thought it was just Captain Birdseye.

Hmmm.. so that's where It landed. That is indeed, yellow welly number 354 as used by 'yours truly' in the recent Lake District Welly Chucking contest held in Windermere last Wednesday. After adjusting my stance in what is commonly known as the "Nomar" Effect (named after Nomar Garciaparra, the great baseball player). I swung the said welly using the double spin method in the tucked position, when suddenly a gust of wind caught it and carried it out of the studium. The judges concluded that as they couldnt find the welly to measure the distance, then it was to be deemed a 'no throw'.
Perhaps you could contact the organisors of the competition and inform them of the exact co-ordinates of the welly so they may send someone out with a tape measure and finally awade me the 1st prize that I rightly deserve.

Is one missing?

OinkOink, the applicable Massachusetts accent is "Noe-Mah Gah-see-ya-parrruh", in case you were a stickler for details.

I wish there were a compilation of all the nervous tics baseball players are known to have. It would be at least an hour long. You ought to read the Wikipedia on Nomar. His name IS actually "Ramon" backward.
Still active playing in Los Angeles - his home area. Married a World Cup womens' soccer star, Mia Hamm.

... My son (a huge Red Sox fan) told me all about him. I'm hoping to get over to the US with him next year to watch the Red Sox v Yankees game. Its his birthday present and we've had it planned for several years now. Just hope we can get tickets.

That sounds like a really great thing to do. Why not try either team through their websites, as they probably have an official one for the team or their respective ballparks somewhere.
