Spring has sprung

Clocks have finally gone forward to extend the all important after office executive golfing hours and we are once again in sync with the hub of the universe…. the US of A… who deem to do their daylight saving in advance.

An uneventful week of work has passed leaving nothing but heavy footprints of knackeredness all over my carcass. Therewith I have spent the last couple of days in a stupor or asleep. This afternoon being so springlike, I felt compelled to make the effort to participate in breathing fresh air and managed to drive all the way to Portavogie where I threw sticks for the dog on a beach full of Canada Geese all making that goosey sound of contentment. I stopped for a rest on the way back in Ballyhalbert and watched three maniacs in the tide on jet skis. Five minutes of that was more than enough. Home and bed was calling me…

I think I need some of this stuff.

GMT

This morning I was expecting someone to collect something I was doing for them. They said on Friday that they’d arrive just a bit before mid-day. Guess who forgot to put their clocks back? 10:15 is NOT just before mid-day. Thankfully I was up and more importantly, dressed in something other than skin. The backwardness of the clocks meant I was up an hour earlier than necessary, even with the Sunday lazy, festering, lie in.

It’ll take a day or two for the world to come to rights again but at least the clock in the van is now at the right time!
